Erasmus+ is the EU’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. Its budget of €14.7 billion will provide opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain experience, and volunteer abroad.
Set to last until 2020, Erasmus+ doesn’t just have opportunities for students. Merging seven prior programmes, it has opportunities for people of all ages, helping them develop and share knowledge and experience at institutions and organisations in different countries and for a wide range of organisations, including universities, education and training providers, think-tanks, research organisations, and private businesses.
Strategic Partnerships are cooperation projects which bring together organisations from different countries to work towards common objectives. Projects can be of different size and scope, depending on the needs and goals of the applicants.
All schools are welcome to join Erasmus+. Funding is available for staff mobility projects and cross-border partnerships. Whole classes or groups of pupils can visit partner schools, and individual pupils can spend a longer period at a school in another country.
